The Coast

Beyond the Vineyard

A Journey to the Heart of the Marche

Vigna Sant’Amico is not just a destination, but a privileged starting point. Immersed in the silence of our hills, you are in a strategic location that brings together the deep blue of the Adriatic and the rich green of the Apennines. Here is our recommended itinerary to explore the wonders that surround us.

The Marche coastline offers a rare variety of landscapes. In less than 45 minutes, you can go from lively sandy beaches to wild and quiet coves.

Senigallia

Elegance and the “Velvet Beach”

(Distance: about 15 min)
Famous throughout Europe for its fine sand, Senigallia is the ideal destination for those seeking comfort and beauty. The seafront is dominated by the famous Rotonda a Mare, an icon of 1930s seaside architecture, appearing to float on the water. The historic center, protected by the Rocca Roveresca, is an open-air lounge full of boutiques, cafés, and some of Italy’s most acclaimed restaurants.

Vigna Sant’Amico’s Advice: Visit Senigallia on Thursday morning for the large city market that animates the Portici Ercolani. Take a dive into history by exploring the imposing Rocca Roveresca, a masterpiece of Renaissance architecture, and then enjoy a sunset aperitif in the Foro Annonario area, the old fish market. Senigallia is also a renowned gourmet destination for its culinary excellence: from Uliassi (3 Michelin Stars) to La Madonnina del Pescatore (2 Michelin Stars), and numerous seafront taverns where you can savor authentic Adriatic cuisine.

The Conero Riviera

Where the Mountain Meets the Sea

(Distance: about 35–40 min)
Heading south, the coastline changes dramatically. Mount Conero, a promontory of white rock covered with Mediterranean scrub, plunges steeply into the Adriatic. Here you won’t find long stretches of sand, but small white-pebble coves and a sea with shades of turquoise and emerald.

Sirolo: A medieval village perched above the sea, known as “the Pearl of the Adriatic.” From its central square, you can enjoy a view that stretches across the entire coastline.

Portonovo: An unspoiled bay surrounded by greenery, where you can visit the Romanesque Church of Santa Maria and the Torre De Bosis.

Vigna Sant’Amico’s Advice: For an unforgettable experience, rent a boat from the port of Numana to reach the Spiaggia delle Due Sorelle, accessible only by sea. It is the emblematic spot of the Marche’s wild nature.
